Without prayer, the Creed is trivia, our sacraments are empty rituals, and our life in Christ is just a strict and impossible moral code. Prayer is our intimacy with Christ, which is the goal of all catechesis. Remember, He doesn’t want us to learn about him as if He is some academic subject like history or math. He is a person who wants us to have an intimate relationship with Him, because He loves you.
